Welcome to my counseling practice!

Hello, and welcome to my practice! My name is Tori, and I am a dedicated therapist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). My counseling practice lies in helping adolescents and young adults navigate the complexities of life, empowering them to achieve personal growth and emotional well-being. I hold sacred providing a safe, supportive and confidential environment where you or your child can openly discuss their concerns and work towards positive change.

With 24 years of experience in the field of mental health, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients and families, each with their unique stories and challenges. I have worked in both the school environment, most recently with adolescents in high school, and private practice. My educational background includes a Master's Degree as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Psychological Examiner,  along with specialized training in CBT and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).  I have met the highest standards in the field and am a Nationally Board Certified Counselor.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. By addressing these patterns, CBT helps individuals develop healthier ways of thinking and acting, leading to improved emotional well-being and functioning. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues, CBT can provide the tools you need to manage and overcome these challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines the principles of cognitive therapy with mindfulness practices. This therapeutic approach is designed to help individuals stay present in the moment, recognize and disengage from negative thought patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of their emotional experiences. MBCT is particularly effective for preventing relapse in individuals who have recovered from depression and for managing stress and anxiety.

Specializing in Adolescents and Young Adults

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, understanding the unique pressures and transitions they face. Whether it's navigating academic stress, social relationships, or the journey of self-discovery, my goal is to provide a supportive environment where young people can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and build resilience through genuine rapport and evidenced-based treatments and

If you or a loved one is struggling and in need of support, I am here to help. Together, we can work towards your goals.

My rates for therapy are $120. I am considered out of network for all insurances, but can provide a superbill to submit for insurance reimbursement. It is up to each client to determine if their insurance company provides out of network benefits.
