At Milligan Counseling and Assessments, I choose not to accept insurance to provide the highest quality, personalized care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. Insurance providers can dictate the type, length, and frequency of services, which may not always align with what is best for each individual. By remaining out-of-network, I have the flexibility to tailor ADHD assessments and counseling services specifically to your needs without the constraints of insurance requirements. This approach allows for more privacy, as your mental health records are kept solely between you and your clinician, without being shared with third parties.

For these reasons, I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. However, many insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for ADHD evaluations. Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and coverage varies by plan. To understand your benefits, I recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking if they reimburse for ADHD evaluations and what percentage is covered. The CPT code I use for ADHD assessments is 96132.
